ABSTRACT:
Distribution Automation deals with remote monitoring of the distribution system and facilitates supervisory control of devices. It also provides decision support tools to improve the system performance. Distribution Automation covers the automation at the Substation Level, Feeder Level and the Customer Level. Also there are several application functions which help the operator to operate the system efficiently. In this talk, various aspects of Distribution Automation will be presented.
